Welcome, Kayla :welcome:

Gosh it's nice to see more women around here! I see this at the range, as well, lots of women out shooting.
Several years ago, I was usually the only woman shooting at the range, now I have company, it's great. :booyah:

Thanks to all of you!
It is hard to have spare time with a little one, but someday I hope to take him out to the range :D

My name is Kayla, I am currently new to the site but I have been browsing on here for months. I was raised on a farm and grew up hunting. I became a mother on 2/2/2012. I recently got into handguns with my boyfriend (springfield1911) about 3 years ago. I love the big boy guns like glock 27 40.cal. I enjoy going out shooting on my spare time. I am thinking about going in April to get my permit to carry.
Well, that's a little bit about myself.
Thanks,
Kayla

what exactly is a big boy gun? hahaha

My name is Mindy, I live in the suburb of Plymouth. I just purchased my first handgun, a Walther P22. I will be using it for "plinking". My husband just got his first handgun also, a M&P 9mm. Finding a place to shoot them is another story, join a club, not join a club? What do most of you do? Can't shoot them in Plymouth, can't even shoot the bb gun, but you can shoot a bow and arrow! Goodness!
It's never too late to start the day over...

Welcome to the forum, Mindy. I live just East of you in Robbinsdale and my girlfriend also shoots a Walther P22. That's a super fun pistol. I'm sure it is listed in one of the links that gman provided, but we shoot at Bill's Gun Shop in Robbinsdale (right off of Hwy 81, less than a klick South of Rockford Rd./42nd Ave. It's a decent place to shoot, especially if you go on a weekday.

Welcome, Mindy, always nice to add to the 'critical mass' of women around here!

Plymouth recently banned Airsoft guns as well (in public). My kids and all their friends are all up in arms about it. It's their first brush with government regulation that directly affects them in a way they can feel!
