New Shooters at the range!

Postby Stradawhovious on Mon Feb 22, 2010 7:10 pm

Tickledpink (foreground) is getting some instruction from Vlad, and one of my co-workers (JD) in the background shooting a ruger .22. Myself, Tickledpink, JD, her husband and Vlad went to ICSC on Saturday to send some lead down range. A good time was had by all! JD and Tickledpink were a little nervous about not having fun or getting too cold, but it turns out that the guys ended up getting done shooting before they did! They both started small with .22 lr Pistols and rifles but soon showed an interest in trying everything we brought. They both tried their hand at .22s, .38s, .380s, .40s, .45s, .223s and 12ga. I think they both had a really good time, and may have been bitten by the shooting sports bug. :D I know Tickledpink will be attending the next Women On Target and OGC, and I think JD will be getting her application in very soon. It always brings a smile to my face to see new shooters having more fun than they could have imagined.

I had nothing to do with it. This was all the Ladies' doing. They made it a great day. :D

Nope, the pistol bay was snowed in.... Couldn't get to the Pin table.

As far as a "Great Eight", you will have to ask Vlad. Both of the firearms in the picture are his. :)
