I am thinking about it. We'll see. I would have to figure out which gun I will "steal" from Strad since he will be using the revolver. I have only shot at one target before, never at multiples.

Unless you want to do the man v. man with him, (which I wouldn't recommend as he would probably be embarrassed when you beat him) why can't you just share the gun?

Yup, 1911Nurse and her friend shared 1911Nurse's 1911 last year. Worked just fine. It was her friend's first steel shoot too, didn't have a holster, just shot from the low ready position. The event organizer is kind enough to space you two apart enough to allow for enough magazine/moon clip reloading. So no worries ;)

Aside from one range officer being a bit... well... less than sensitive about some of the gun handling advice (this based on what I heard afterward about it), it went pretty smoothly. I only saw that person act as RO one time though last year, so not anything to worry about.

I saw the woman shoot the 625 Sunday. She's very smooth with it, NO flinch at all. I'm jealous.

If my wife (the other Dawn) can shoot steel, so can you. We'll see you Saturday.

I recall at least one time last summer when a certain person, whose adjustable rear sight got misadjusted, got beat by all the newbies. In fact I could show you how to do that to his sights.

I'm pretty sure the person in question has since filled the rear sight of that gun with more loctite than you will find in a ford F150. Good luck.

As far as Tickledpink is concerned, I have since accepted the fact that the 625 I have now will not be mine for much longer. I am now on the hunt for a JM model to replace it with so Tickledpink has something she can practice with, and get familiar with without having to designate "visiting rights". So if anyone has a line on a reasonably priced 625 JM, let me know.

You can borrow my 625 with scope, comp and rig if you want it, just say the word.

Dear Tickledpink: Just in case you are up for shooting something with a little more punch that plain old 45 ACP, the 625 can also handle 45 Super, which has about the same wallop as a 41 mag. Very potent medicine for bad guys, plus you can always brag that your 625 is more powerful than whatever your SO is shooting. Don't know if you're a recoil junkie or not, but going with a 625 certainly puts you up into the "serious stopping power" league as far as handguns. Gongrats on the new piece!!

Mrs. Westberg smoked me last year on a woman vs. man stage with her revolver while I was shooting a Glock and it was great fun for everyone! It must have been the damn Glock! :hammer: :hammer: :rotf:

This sounds like fun. I can't say that I am a recoil "junkie" but I could see it turning that way some time soon. :D

Dear Seismic Sam.

KNOCK IT OFF!

This has already cost my my 625, pretty soon I'm going to have to go buy a S&W .500 or .454 Casull to satisfy her recoil addiction.

Ladies and Gentlemen you've seen it here first. Strad actually whining about having to go buy a gun. I never thought I'd see the day.
