An offer to shoot a 50BMG Target Rifle - FREE

Postby OldmanFCSA on Tue Sep 27, 2011 11:09 pm

As a newbie here - wanting to meet other shooters - and to keep the wives, girlfriends, and others in mind - I extend an offer to the women here a shooting session for you to shoot one of my 50BMG Target Rifles.

The restrictions - you must provide the location for a safe place to shoot - and limit yourselves to 5 rounds free with you keeping 1 case to show your friends. I will take pictures of you shooting if you so desire. Additional rounds are available at additional charge dependent on whether shooting surplus or full target rounds. $4.00 per round vs $6.00 per round with 800 graing solid brass Lehigh 510-130 projectiles.

It took 3 years for my wife to decide to shoot one of my 50's - and then she shot it very well. Targets were at 1000 yards.

Yes - I have approval from my wife to do this.
When I get the laptop back from her I will post a picture of her shooting an ArmaLite AR-50B at 1000 yards.

The more of you that can be grouped together, the better for all to have fun.

Please respond by PM if you want to shoot and where, so I may plan for event.

That's a great offer. I've only put one round through and really enjoyed it.

I would bet that TP would love to take you up on that offer.......

She was watching Top Shot, saw the .50 and asked why we don't have one. She is also a newly developed recoil junky that likes things that go "boom".

I'm sure she will chime in soon.

I'll bring mine too, considering I can make the time/date/location.

:D

Might I add, disposable propane tanks are a plus, bring um. I'll load up some spotter/tracers (820gr exploding projo) if the range is suitable.

I doubt it.

But even so, I'd let him sweet talk my wife (TickledPink) for a bit if I can pull the trigger too. :D

OK - there seems to be some interest here - now we need a good place to shoot safely.
And I need to find the ammo we need to shoot.

We will be shooting surplus to fireform the brass to a specific chamber.

The Fifty Caliber Shooting community has been chased all over hell by the anti-gunners with this type of nonsense, then one of ours states something to add ammo to the argument.

Understand, IF we lose and they take our 50's, other Target and hunting rifles will be next on the list for elimination by the anti-gunners.

Please keep the antigun statements out of our Forum. The antigun people join Forums like this just to gain more ammo for their arguments.

Please don't turn the great state of Minnesota into the peoples republic of Kaliformia with laws like their AB-50.

I'd have to agree with oldman.

I get a kick out of the "Only after military weapons". When I mention that the Rem 870 and the bolt action are military weapons, they tell me I am just arguing....

Ugh. Let me just say this. This is a part of the forum that is heavily moderated, it's purpose it to give WOMEN a place to talk. Not that male participation is bad, but if the bickering doesn't stop here I will be flagging posts. From my post on, this thread should return to the subject of Oldman's offer to take the ladies out to shoot his big gunaren't interested interested in his offer (in the op), you have no business posting here.
