Auction for Bluto and his pup (AR15 Receivers)

Postby Inspiribomb on Sat Sep 23, 2017 6:45 am

I am offering up an AR-15 receiver set to help raise money for member Bluto and his pup that is in need of ACL surgery. All money will be donated to his surgery fund. Winner must provide proof of eligibility/legality to own (PTC/PTP).

My cost to build was around $600, I'd like to start the bidding at $250. I will run this until 8 PM on Sunday, October 3rd. Pictures will be posted soon.

Lower is complete, upper has only ejection port and forward assist installed. Never fired.

Lower - Anderson Manufacturing receiver, bronze cerakoted, BCM enhanced parts kit (significant upgrade over mil-spec), buffer tube spring and weight, I think I have a stock to go with this one as well.
Upper - Anderson Manufacturing, bronze cerakoted, includes forward assist and ejection port. Add the barrel, forend, BCG, and other goodies of your choice to tailor the gun to your liking.

Additional items that other members have pledged as part of this auction include:

1) a 50 Round Box of American Eagle (Federal) .38 Special 130 gr FMJ
2) 500 Pieces of .40 S&W Brass (mixed headstamp) for reloading. They have been fully processed, including Decap, Resize, Wet Tumbled, then ran through a debulger, just in case they were shot in a Glock type, unsupported chamber. These are ready to prime, and load. They look like new brass, after the Wet Tumble.
3) 100 rounds of 223
4) seven Pmag dust covers in black and two ar-15 birdcage flash hiders w/ washers
5) a brick of CCI primers I'll add - winner's choice of large pistol, small pistol or small rifle.

Thanks for the add, I dug through my desk and found seven Pmag dust covers in black and two ar-15 birdcage flash hiders w/ washers to add as well, I won't be needing any for a while.

I have a brick of CCI primers I'll add - winner's choice of large pistol, small pistol or small rifle. Can't ship them, so reasonable accommodations will need to be made for pickup.

Inspiribomb - peg a list of what's on the auction at the top of the post please.

And I'll start the bidding at $280.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is actually being auctioned here? The pic shows two full AR rifles and two barrel-less partial receivers. I'm assuming it is just one of the receivers, but which?

Pretty sure it's the lower left item based on the detailed description provided above.

The bronze receiver set. It shows up on a rifle but I only test fitted it with some other components. I didn't have any other pictures at the time but can take some more.

Great idea and very generous of the donors.

Correct. Will try to get new pics to prevent confusion.

My understanding is the others have contributed to the package being offered here. So the winner would win everything that has been offered.

My dogs are my best friends, and I don't know what I would have done if not for the generosity of a rescue group that helped me financially. I am hoping this auction can eat up a significant portion of the money required for the surgery.

And kudos to everyone who is contributing here. Very generous!

I just wanted to understand what was really involved since the original picture contained a lot of stuff.
