My check was cashed on 7/6. Should I be getting excited yet?

Well, got to try them out. I'm hooked. I will now be a stamp collector. The 22LR sparrow is very very nice.

How many are actually buying suppressors?

My application was approved 10/2 and it came in on 10/12. It sat on someone's desk at the NFA branch for a week, but my can is enjoying its new home in my safe.

Current processing times are 3.5 months from when the check was cashed, and is trending towards getting a little faster again.

Jzzr83, did you have to wait a while before you could submit the form 4? From what I read first Silencer Shop has to get Form 3 processed but I do not see anywhere whether that is immediate or takes weeks... or whether they just need to submit it and then Form 4 could be done at the same time? Thanks!

My class 3 wouldn't do the form 4 until the form 3 came back. He wanted the suppressor in hand. Put me six weeks behind.

It's not necessary for the form 3 to be approved before the form 4. BATFE will tell you it's necessary, but the form 4 takes so long to process, the form 3 will almost certainly be approved before the form 4. As long as you can get the serial number for the specific can, you should be good to go sending the form 4 as soon as possible.

^^^^^
I kind of wonder if local dealers drag the form 3/4 process a bit to make buying directly from them (at higher prices) seem more attractive than buying out of state and transferring.

I bought at Atomic, my form 4's were ready to mail the day we put them on order. They ordered them from silencershop and improved the pricing over the website.

Yep, Atomic is the place I went to as well. Highly recommended.

I put my suppressor on my machine gun over the weekend. Holy cow does it make that thing run fast!!!! The can also got hot. Extremely hot. My laser thermometer pegged out at 600 degrees, so it was definitely above that. The suppressor adds a whole new level of fun to an already fun gun!
