Guys shooting suppressed lr308/ar10, do you guys use adjustable gas blocks? Or is this unnecessary? Doing some research, but all I am getting are fan boy stuff.

Putting SLRrifleworks on all of my AR's and new builds. Had some cycling issues without them. Nice to be able to control gas flow.

Getting ready to be suppressed, I put a Syrac adjustable gas block on my APF Armory carbine last weekend. Haven't shot it yet.

I asked the APF guys what they thought about using adjustable gas blocks, and they said they often use them, even if not running suppressed. They didn't actually say, but rather implied, that I was better off starting with the gas block swap than trying various buffer weights.

My experience is that 308 AR's are overgassed to begin with. I would definitely recommend an adjustable block - suppressed or not.

Picked up a seekins low profile block. I will try it out and see how it does.

Most .308 ARs are running a carbine or Midlength gas system and they're heavily gassed stock. If you have a suppressor, it's going to significantly up the gas pressure. JP Rifles, SLR Rifleworks, Syrac and Seekins are the best options, but there are others out there too. Adjustable is very much a good idea so that you can tune the rifle to run smoothly.

This is EXACTLY the same thing JP Gangel (of JP Enterprises) told me when he put one of his gas blocks in an AR-10 Armalite I had.

Worked pretty well. I have one for 308 and one for 300blk. Really does cut down on gas and perceived recoil.
