Just picked up my sandman-s. My 1st suppressor. Should I use blue loctite 1st when mounting adapter or use rocksett? I have both. Will be going on my 10 inch 300 BO. Purchased a second adapter but didn’t catch it was wrong caliber until I got home. Waiting on a email response for getting the correct one, 308. Can’t wait to test out the Hornady 190 subs I stocked up on.

I used red loctite and had one unscrew. I now only use rocksett.

Thanks for the info. Just a few drops or cover threads? I picked up a surefire adapter awhile back fairly cheap and installed it on my 308 AR, thinking I would order a surefire suppressor for it down the road. Used rocksett. Covered all threads. Ended up getting a sandman. Am hoping I didn't use to much as I need to remove it for a sandman adapter.

A couple drops is all you need.

Guess getting the adapter off my 308 will be a serious pain since I coated all the threads with rocksett.

Do an internet search there are several ways to remove it. It’s not as hard as you’d think.

Got out to try out the new suppressor. Sweet. Shot both supers and subs. Have to get a few more adapters for other rifles to use it on.

hi Randy -- What are your first impressions? I have a 7.62 can so I can use it on 5.56 and .30 cal. rifles. With 300BLK, subsonic it is hollywood quiet. Even shooting supersonic 5.56, the silencer keeps the dB levels down to hearing safe or at least near hearing safe.

POI changed a bit on my .308, but I just adjust for it when I install the silencer. Hard to believe that they can get $800-1100 for something like that, but that's the going rate!

If the ATF wait were not so long I would buy another 7.62 can. Something like a Silencerco Omega. lighter than my 2 lb. Specawar.

Am glad I went with Sandman-S. I researched most suppressors, read reviews, looked at dB levels. Would have went with the Long version but cost was to much at the time. Haven’t tried it on 308 yet. Next month will order a adapter for the 308 and plan on installing on my bolt rifle. Then the following month will get another for my 308 AR. Am enjoying it on my 10 inch 300 BO though. Quiet enough not requiring hearing protection. Even supers are fairly quiet but do use hearing protection. Wouldn’t hesitate shooting without if needed. If I do get another suppressor, will get the Long version. Think my 308’s will benefit better.

Well, I did get it off. I soaked it overnight, still bent a wrench. So grabbed a rubber mallet, soaked it again for 10 minutes, laid on table, wacked it hard on front muzzle, tried with wrench, repeated 3x and it came off. Next time will use only a few drops.
