Modular 22LR Suppressors

Modular 22LR Suppressors

Anyone own one or been looking at them? Thinking I want one, really having a hard time deciding which one. Still leaning towards the Q Erector partially because it is the lightest weight one out there. However it's 22LR only so trying to decide if I am going to care about that down the road. The AAC Halcyon looks pretty good too and though heavier the titanium would likely be more durable. Too many choices.

What’s the benefit in modular?

I’ve got a silencerco sparrow and a dead air mask hd that I’m very happy with.

Ability to balance weight/length vs desired suppression level is the main thing.

Ditto on the sparrow and it's rated for 17HMR

I guess I understand that. I’ll have to look into how short they go vs the standard models. My mask is pretty much silent when mounted on a bolt action so I wouldn’t think any longer would benefit.

Well the Q Erector can go pretty short. So was actually looking at it as minimal pieces would be needed for a rifle and for a pistol I could tweak it to find a nice balance. Not 100% sold that a modular is the way to go. Like anything it has its pros and cons.

The suppressor world it one that has me completely confused. So many options, so many opinions, ….

I have yet to make the jump into that world but will soon enough. Interested to hear more on this topic.

A good .22 is a great start.

I started with a rifle, pistol and .22 can for my first jump.

A while ago but I bought the Sparrow based on reviews at the time and the fact that it was rated for 17HMR. It works on the 17HMR but you still get the breaking the sound barrier crack as they don't make a subsonic. Have a CZ Kadet 22 pistol it is used most one and it makes less noise than a pellet gun. BTW you can use supersonic in a pistol because it stays subsonic in short barrel. Save the spendy subsonic ammor for your rifles. Have 2 10/22 that I can also use it on but do have to use subsonic ammo in rifles.

The only issue with the sparrow is the FRP (first round pop) is a little louder than others.

Here’s my sparrow mounted on a Russstra gun
