So you can show up any time the range is open, free of additional charge? Like I said, that sounds extremely reasonable.

I am a vet and son of a vet, but I'm not a legion member.

The only additional charge would be if you came out during a shotgun night, then you'd pay $4 a round for trap or skeet.
