308 bullet weights for 1/12 26 inch?

Postby norm582 on Sun Dec 06, 2009 9:12 am

Hey guys, and gals too, any of you super shooters have any advice for me regarding bullet weights for a remington m700 26 inch barrel with a 1 in 12 twist rate? I have dozens of different loads and would like to narrow it down a little to save time/money at the range. Thanks!! Any help would be appreciated.

According to Shilen you can shoot up to a 170gr.

I have shot 190SMKs from my old Rem 700 SPS Tactical which I believe is a 1/12 twist. They grouped great at 100, no sign of instability.
