Now what'd I do with that chart?! ...

I do in fact own a Remington R-25 in 243 WIN, I got it for $1299 or so a few years back, it's been a damn fine rifle, and if you have ever looked into the cost to camo dip a AR-15 style rifle you will know $150 is cheap, most places get $250+ for the entire rig. As for accuracy, the Remington’s have much lighter barrel profiles than most DPMS rigs, they are meant for hunting, but with that said my R-25 will shoot well under 1 MOA all the time, heavy factory trigger and all, and that's not tricked out with the 42X NXS, that’s with its normal 10X Weaver glass with big fat hunting reticals , it starts pushing half MOA with target glass and full prepped rounds.

Do you want to wage money on that? :) (the second part, not being horrible for F-Class. ;) )

I'll camo your rifle cheap, just let me know so I can get the .99 cent cans at Walmart ahead of time. :D Also since Bushmaster/DPMS are making the AR rifles for Remington, barrel profiles are the same over all.... you're just paying more for the Remington name.

I’ll pass on the Walmart camo, it’s nowhere near the same lol

I'd put a 10 spot on not being able to keep 20 rounds on target @ 600 yards, remember, you only get 2 sighters! :D

As I stated above I am aware DPMS is making Remington’s R-25's, but I do not think you can get the same barrels on both, I've never seen a DPMS with a barrel like my R-25, not on their site, not in their parts catalog, nada, it's a medium contour fluted unit, no threads on the end, but I could be wrong. There is also a local guy that does AR-10s in North Branch. Branch Custom Weaponry. He machines the uppers and lowers and custom builds the rifle for you. Talk to Tom or Joyce at Bullseye Shooting Range in North Branch. They may have one for you to test right there at the range. I have three of his AR-15s and love each one of them. The one below is chambered in 6.8 SPC. http://www.northbranchbullseye.com/

JoeH, I have this one in the .308 and the .260 uppers, I also have Remington 700P in .308 (not really a carrying around the woods rifle). You can try either one of them to check them out, just let me know.

Ron:

do you have any feeding issues with the .260?
TIA

I called them once and the quote I got for an AR10 was pretty high, closer to 2k if I remember right, some small parts upgrade but nothing crazy, I still think bang for the buck a $1100 DPMS 308 is going to be the way to go.

PS do you know who AR10 BCW builds on? Is it DPMS or Armalite?

That's the cheap part.....It's the cost of the ammo that will hurt. ;)

We're waiting for the tactical model to come out first, it will double as a rifle rest. ;)
