Do any of the local gunshops carry the PTR rifles?

Do you just want to see it?

I have one in my safe. Unfired. PTR91 F

I have been so busy that I have several firearms that have been sitting in my safe unfired. I finally scheduled some time next week to go to Burnsville shooting range and if you can meet me there when I am there, you can see it. Bring non corrosive ammo and you can shoot a mag (you will need to arrange the right accommodation for the 2nd shooter with the range operator).

I really just wanted to see one - I've done enough reading the last few weeks that I was comfortable ordering it.

Most ironically, I ordered the gun about an hour ago - it should be at my local FFL's in about 10-12 days :)

It is a pretty cool rifle. I bought it because I have an unfired HK91 tucked away for the value but really wanted to try this type of rifle.

I borrowed another PTR91 and I liked it enough that I ended up ordering one.

BTW, I snagged 40 HK91 mags from Cheaper than Dirt for 97 cents each - they arrived today and all appear to be in decent/usable shape.

I did the same thing. But I only ordered 10. Think I pulled it apart and cleaned it out when I got it.

Here is a pic of it from a while back. Scope is probably overkill, but I have heard good accuracy on CETME vs PTR91 comparisons out to 300 yards.

I'm another who's been looking at a PTR91 for the future. I'm not sure when I'll be willing to spend the money for the rifle but I've got a few mags around already (both steel & aluminum). The prices at CTD are too good to pass up.

I'm looking forward to some range reports from people actually in the area. I've read various reports from others already.

Mine shipped yesterday, it should be at the FFL tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably get out with it sometime this weekend.

Bill's Gun Shop usually has at least one PTR-91 in stock. They are a regular stocking dealer of them. Might not be a bad idea to call ahead though, since they tend to sell well.

Picked up my PTR-91F today from Bullseye in Lake Elmo - it's on the bench for cleaning. Photos coming :)
