Buy the Polish ones. You can find them on Gunbroker. The China remake's aren't that great, they work, but not that well.

I understand that some Russian ammo comes with the rounds already in stripper clips. After I get the Mosin cleaned up and lubed, I will probably buy a can of ammo at FF to see.

In any case, you can buy stripper clips here:

I don't know if these are Russian, Polish, or Chinese. Maybe other places are out there that are cheaper.

they are kind of addictive. One leads to two, then three. Before you know it, they're stacked under the beds and you have no room in your closets!

But that might be cheaper than filling the same space with clothes!

Sale ends today. The price goes up to $100. Still cheap. Go for it!

Hopefully you picked up a tin of ammo for $85 while you were at it. Mosins earn a spot on the best buy list any day of the week. :D

A few weeks back, Element Arms in Becker, was whoring out 91/30's for $65... May still have a few left... (I picked up a '32 Izzy Hex from FF for $89 in one of those sales!)

It's got a sharp edged metal butt plate and poor ergonomics. It's also less powerful than .30-06, and heavy.

I'd say it's less pleasant than a M1903, and significantly less pleasant than a Garand, but it's not some mega magnum.
