Hunting:
I have a Leuopold 3-9x40 that I plan on using for an up coming hunt in SD. I figure it will be more than enough scope for this rifle at the ranges I plan to shoot it at in. I do however need to get a mount for my scope. I am looking at the Burris P.E.P.R ($70 on Amazon is the cheapest I am finding). Any pro's or cons to this set up for sitting at a table and shooting dogs?
Has anyone tried this mount with the QR's? For my application I think it might be worth the $20.

I am looking for a sub $300 1-4x24 scope. Any ideas? I am all ears!

My buddy has a Doctor mounted on some sort of a side/angle mount on his AR. I can see the occasional value for close up shots on coyote (we often have a shotgunner in the blind with some 00buck to handle getting jumped by a Yote). Anyone have input on this type of set up? I like the look of the JP and I like the fact its sights not some sort of electric/optic.
