My only appearance to the Grand American in Sparta was to pick up empties a few days after. Two trips in fact. I have been to a lot of trap ranges never seen doubles. I stand corrected.

Straddie now needs a double.

And if you want to be a "real man" at skeet, you need a 12 ga double, a 20 ga, a 28 ga and a 410.

Then you will decide they need to be a matched set and buy a skeet gun with 4 sets of barrels.

Then to get back to trap you will need another one with a single barrel and the bottom barrel is a counter weight.

See, no problem to fill up all those lonely spaces in the old gun safe!

Rationalizing is your friend.

I thought you got married recently?

This will be a good ticket to sleeping on the couch!

A good doubles shooter is a joy to watch,I don't know if anybody ever watched me, if they did they had no joy.

Obviously you have never met my wife.

This will be a good ticket for her to steal yet another of my guns.

I know where you're coming from. I shot doubles once. ONCE. Very humbling experience. I think I shot better my first round of skeet.

The more I read this thread and the accusations of gun theft the better the couch looks for you. Can I bring you a pillow?

This might be an idea to keep you from eating to many sandwiches.

Stoeger competition combo. 12 guage for you, 20 guage for her, and an adjustable comb so it fits you both. :D

The Browning Citori XT is a good entry level gun for serious trap shooting. Most guys don't really upgrade from that and I wouldn't want to pay a buck for every perfect 100 score shot with a citori. The Beretta 686 is sexier but considerably more expensive. After that we are getting into Ceasar Guerini, Ljutic and Perazzi-territory. Great looking shotguns but I've beaten many a Perazzi Shooter with my Citori.
I have a Colt Python and you don't so what do I care...

It's less the gun and more the shooter...
Just because you can afford a P-gun doesn't mean you are a AAA class shooter

For a time, anytime I'd have a good run (USPSA 'er SASS), I'd ask someone "How'd I look?" ... and they'd say "You did this well 'er you did that well" ... and I'd say "NO! ... how did I LOOK?!" ;)

I believe it was early this summer, at OGC, I asked Gecko "How'd I look?" ... he said "Tall!" Image
