I'll be shooting it Friday for the first time. Indoors, unfortunately.

OK, I'll show my ignorance, what is it? I'm guessing a semi version of a Russian 7.62 x 54 mg?

Yep, exactly right. It was sitting at Bill's for a looooong time, and I finally went in there without finding anything more exciting.

And Dorian, it's been a while since we've shot together! We should rectify that.

Is that round thing on top a pizza stone? I assume it gets all hot and stuff from firing..and you can cook a tasty pizza while you are mowing down Nazis.

Not sure if this is a great deal or not. I remember seeing this a week ago, and I know it's not particularly common.

I'm jealous though, looks like fun! Who put this one together?

Ivan! I'm totally going to make one of those little Lego dudes.

This rifle is a Wise Lite build. I've got a few Wise Lites, and they've all worked pretty well for me (especially when you install all the parts—funny story there). Their website doesn't list the DP28 anymore, so they may have run out of kits or they may have made these just for a distributer. I don't really know.

I've seen kits online for pretty cheap, and when you add the receiver and barrel you can get it done for around $1500 if you're handy. I've also seen slightly used and already assembled Wise Lite D_28s around the $1900 mark.

And Eric, thanks for the offer, but I've got plans for the afternoon. I have to go in the morning, unfortunately.

And notice how they gave it to the big guy? It looks like a toy in his arms. That thing is heavy!

Pat, you should try my PSL sometime.
It needs more range time.
