I would like to see that. Legend has it there will be a high-speed camera there too.......

As for the journey of bubba, I will post up more pics after more work has been done, and maybe some fire breathing slow motion video to boot. :D

I'll bring the remote and a tripod so we can set it up "out front" and get GOOD fireball pictures.

Yeah... Um...... threads with pics from remote downrange cameras don't go over so well on this forum.

What the hell. We haven't had a good 10+ page flame off in a day or two..... Why not! :rotf:

hey hey hey... you need to be working on that 1911, Mister. put Bubba away, and play with a REAL gun

if you draw a 1911 against someone with an M44 and you both shoot at the same time the muzzle blast from the M44 will force the 45 slug back at you and you will get shot twice at once. the reason this has never been documented is that the M44's fire ball will burn up whatever's left and that will be the end of you.

it's science. you can't deny science.

I'm not arguing science, or the devastating power of that M44's fireball, I'm merely anxious to see the 1911 built. But I do have one question, how did you know that I'd be the guy to battle an M44 wih a 1911? Are psychic?!?

Ok, I missed the memo, what is the end goal here? Don't get me wrong, i'm all about playing in the machine shop, and this looks fun, but isn't that scope worth like three of the rifles? Is this similar to putting a red dot on a hi point? :)

ETA: I guess if you machine and attach a bad ass comp it will be worth it. :D (add a laser! :o )

No, that scope is a generic POS, but I am pretty sure it will hold POA with a .30cal.

Yes, I will be putting a muzzle brake on it (hopefully Friday). All in all, at this point, including the scope, I have less than $100 tied up in this. I'd like to stay under that number, since you're right...... it would be silly to put a $400 scope on a $50 rifle. ;)
