Fired maybe 100 rounds, I was underwhelmed on the flash/blast/recoil, but it shot better than I expected.

Do you have a 91/30 or an M44? My guess is a 91/30 if you recently bought it from fleet farm or the like. The 91/30s are very tame in recoil, don't have a very loud bark, and have very little muzzle eye candy.

The stock M44 on the other hand (Like Bubba used to be)...... That's a completely different animal. They kick like a mule and belch 4 foot columns of fire.

Chop 8" off the end of it Tim - then you'll be where Bubba started.

Well just took Bubba out to the range again, and He's still as fun as ever to shoot.

At 25yds I'm cloverleafing (as ANY rifle should....)

At 50 yards I'm pulling about a 2" group.

At 100 yards I'm getting about a 4" group.

And Yes, I'm pretty sure this is the rifle, since I was shooting from a rest. Granted, this was with ******* surplus stuff..... I will be trying some higher quality ammo next time to see what's what.

Even with 4" groups at 100yds, this thing kind of kicks ass. Is sure did turn a few heads and start a couple of conversations at the range.

I didn't get it from fleet farm, but it is a 91/30.

1940 stamp on the receiver.

No self respecting man can argue the coolness of a fireball like that.

Well done you three!

I've seen a M44 at night with wolf ammo - Not impressive.
With cruddy surp the fireball was like 10ft!
That thing's gotta be even better!
