i have a winchester super-x trap that i've had since 1980. only shoots clay.
i have a mossberg 20 ga. bolt action w/ magazine that i've had since 1970. first gun i ever bought and shot. don't use it anymore, just sentimental to me.
i have a winchester model 94 that was given to me in 1989 by a church member. it belonged to her deceased husband who was a 2x state champion trap shooter in illinois. i have never shot it and never will. it will always be "Ed's shotgun".

However, I think the Mossberg 500 does have a couple things going for it.
o They come drilled and tapped if you should ever want to mount optics
o usually slightly cheaper
o The tang safety is
- ambidextrous
- quieter
- safer because you aren't fiddling around near the trigger trying to find it
o something else I can't remember

What I'd really like is the 870 Marine Magnum, but it's about twice the price. We'll see...
