Surprise at Fleet Farm today!

Postby Scratch on Fri Aug 03, 2012 2:40 pm

Stopped in to FF today and saw the Mosins were on sale again for 90 bucks, so as always I asked if they had any Tula Hexes in.... they said "Not in two years or so..."
So I asked if they had any ex snipers in.... they said "We have 8 boxes back there we could look through."

Look what we found in box number 6!

WOO HOO! I'll get better pics later but it looks to be a Tula "CCCP" 1926 soviet M91 or Dragoon!

BTW, didn't see any others (or I'da bought them) or any ex snipers, but there was an Ishevsk with brass end caps on the top wood if anybody's interested.

Still a 91/30, but Looks to be an Ex Dragoon from the Foremost Ordinance factory (Tula) I could be wrong though. I often am.

Let me know what you want for it. That would look really nice in my coffee table. ;)

Last time I was there, FF said they only get the cardboard boxes, no crates.

I managed to find a 1929 Hex Tula today at Fleet as well. :D Thanks for the heads up on the fresh stock and the sale. Not too bad for the first Mosin of the collection.

I should say so. I maybe picked up a '39 Tula too from a different store. :)

Congratulations, guys! Just a warning, these things are addictive. You start out with 'just one for the collection'. Then you need a carbine, then one from each arsenal. Wait, Finns? Chinese? Polish? German marked? Spanish Civil War?
Pretty soon they're stacked under the beds, and you have a Mosin crate for a coffee table :?
Mosins are like snowflakes, no two are alike.
Consider yourselves warned.
