I always enjoy seeing DIYselfers and people having a good time building something. However, if you cut corners and do not use proper tools and the thing blows up and it hurts others, you will be sued.

Long story short, I have been hit by a piece AR15 blowing up, but it was just a small injury that didn't cause any serious issues that would stop me from living my life and enjoy shooting. The idiot put parts together and didn't even know proper head-spacing nor did he understand types of ammunition.

I hate trivial litigation tying up our court systems, but if it stops me or others from living a normal life and enjoying shooting sports, that would not be one of them. Just make sure you are not cutting corners while enjoying your builds. It isn't just slapping on parts together even if most of the companies offer uniform specs.
