You can shoot .223 in a 5.56 chambering just fine. Any accuracy/reliability difference is far outweighed by running the proper load.

roger that. well thats cool then. i think this barrel is the winner. all i want it to do is be able to take a coyote at 300 yards max. im confident that this barrel will do it, if i do my part.

300 yards should be gravy with any barrel.

Forgot to update this. I ordered a DPMS mk12 barrel, the 18 inch flava. All I read about is how great of a deal the barrel is so I gave it a shot. Should be on my doorstep Thursday. All I need is the gas tube and gas tube roll pin and the build will be done. I'll post pics.
