I've bought 4 AR's on various forums/sites the last couple days....all the sellers backed out of the asking price offer....can't say I really blame them, as all were listed before the recent events.

They had lots of .223 american black box stuff @ 8:30 this morning, and are limiting people to 10 boxes each.

Hoffy's has a dissipator uppered offbrand ar for 650 on sale 750. It's seen better days too.

If ya don't like how a bbl-nut's torqued, jest redo it!

If you like paying a premium for something that has the craftsmanship of a 30 yr old in his mom's basement; then have to redo and recheck everything, buying tools etc. in the process, go ahead.

Some people like to spend their money wisely and not waste it on JUNK.

They had a bunch of it still at around 2 or so. The sign at Cabelas said $9.99 so I only grabbed a few, but it rang up at 7.50 or so for me so I did not complain about that and should have grabbed a few more.

Any other places I should look that still has a good selection? I've heard they're flying off the shelves.

I was looking at the S&W M&P AR-15, but am open to suggestions from owners of other brands. I'll be using it mainly for range/target shooting.

You are about 4 days late to be picky. Bills in Hudson had a couple of Core 15 ARs last I was there. Everything was sold by Tuesday night.

Saw a 12GA at Bill's north, and fleet farm had a few Huldra 5.42whatevertheF's. Not quite what I'm looking for.

Stopped at a few no-name gun shops, and they basically laughed at me.

Perhaps I'll put the money on a new water softener instead... :(

I've been putting off buying an AR for about a year....still haven't made up my mind on brand or even how I'd want it to look like with all the accessories out there. Guess I'll just wait for all the hoopla to die down before I buy now. If an AR ban does happen, oh well....I still have my Ruger mini 14.

Yeah... I'm not THAT concerned about it. I have an empty spot in the safe reserved for one, but I'll fill it someday.

I will say though... Obama is a hell of a salesman. I haven't seen guns fly off the shelf like this since November '08. ;)
