What's the best AK side mount?

Hi -

I'm looking to get a scope mount for my 7.62x54R VEPR that I panic-bought last month.

The two I keep seeing: the one from Midwest Industries, and one from Kalinka Optics ->BP-02 AK to Weaver Mount, Centered

Are there any others I should be looking at, does anyone have any experience with the two listed above?

I'd like to get the strongest most rigid one out there

I would see if a Texas Dogleg would fit on that VEPR.

The midwest industries is a really quality mount. I have one for my Saiga and I would recommend it to anyone looking for optics on an AK-pattern firearm.

Kalinkaoptics probably has to widest array of side mounts for the AK variants.

What length barrel is that? How's it shoot?

Its the 20 inch, at 50 yards with iron sights and Bulgarian surplus it shot right around 2 MOA (1 inch group at 50)..I was pretty happy with that.
I can't wait to see how it shoots with a scope, and with some different ammo - I have at least 6 different kinds of 54r, including a bunch of heavy ball

Vepr is on my want list, but I am not going to pay panic prices for one. Looking for a side mount for my AK-47 22lr from ATI so I am going to watch here to see what turns up.
