Carl Gustafs

I was reading up on some sniping history. Anyone know anything about the old Carl Gustaf model mausers used in WWII? Seems like it'd be a fun gun to shoot/collect, as it seems very unique.

I would suggest going to http://www.odcmp.com/. There are quite a few people that shoot swedes in the Vintage Military and Vintage Sniper classes at CMP matches.

The Swedish Mausers (both Carl Gustaf and Husqvarna) were and still are excellent rifles. Also the 6.5x55 cartridge is an excellent long range precision round. Right now Swedes are less expensive than 1903s or Garands. There always seem to be a few on Gunbroker and Gunauction.

Thanks for the input fellas. I saw one once and thought it would be a great piece for the arsenal.
