Black rifle friday, anyone?

Postby Erud on Fri Nov 22, 2013 10:38 am

I couldn't resist this year, so I just got back from mailing in payment for my new black rifle. Will post pics when it arrives, hopefully by the end of next week.

Anybody else get sucked in?

Well I did order another lower and full LBK yesterday. Couldn't pass it up at $130. That brings un-built lowers up to.....uh....nevermind :bolt:

It's truly an addiction. And after looking at the sweet billet lowers Atomic Tactical is getting with their logo, yet another build will be forthcoming. Forcing myself to sell to make room in the safe is the hard part.

I posted in deals...then I saw this thread.

Strongly considering this for my first AR:

It does seem like a good deal, although I was pretty sure Palmetto would have some good deals this weekend...

It is their P-Tac line though, which is supposed to be their lower quality line... I have no experience with them yet. Thinking about getting one just to try them out though.

Anybody else have a P-Tac rifle yet?

I ordered one. At the price, paired with a cheap lower I figure even if I hate it I can get my money back and keep the 22 conversion.

But, since it is my first AR...I am more hoping it will help me figure out what I like or don't like a little.

Super tempted, and may regret not pulling the trigger, but I am holding out to see what PSA puts up on actual black friday. Only black friday item I am really looking for this year. They gonna do cyber monday too?

Expect deals similar to this. I have seen one other, it was an upper with BCG and charge handle for under $300. I'll be getting another if I see that.

Does this come with all parts (but lower) to run .223 and .22 ? How many parts to the conversion?

No idea, mine hasn't arrived. It was sold as "everything but the lower" and supposed to be able to use both calibers (one 22LR mag).

Yes, it looks to come with everything but the stripped lower, and includes everything needed to shoot 5.56 and .22LR, except ammo.
The conversion kit consists of two parts, the "bolt/carrier" which replaces the 5.56 bolt and carrier, and the .22LR magazine which replaces the 5.56 magazine. That's it... Extremely easy to swap, maybe 10 seconds, and works great!
For those that are buying this P-Tac kit, be sure to post up what you think of the quality. I've been waiting to see one in person, and considered getting one just to check them out.

There are some choices here too. Complete uppers with BCG and CH for $335.

With me knowing just about nothing....this should be all you need besides a lower and PK/stock. You can add a PK and 6 position stock for $80. I may end up with two project ARs on order...and I haven't fired one yet
