I also picked up a few lowers from palmetto. This will be my first ar build, im pretty pumped but im not fully up to date on the good deals out there. What im looking for is a mid to rifle length free float handgaurd. Im not looking for anything extravagant, and its gotta be relatively affordable. Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Some great rail deals on my national forum. The Centurion and Knights are priced nicely.

Nordic Components makes the best handguard for the money hands down. I have 4 of them on various rifles.

another question, its a kinda dumb one. I have a bushmaster ar 15, i bought it ready to shoot. Im building my first ar now and just received the lower build kit. The stock that came with it is a blackhawk and is advertised as a milspec stock. I tried to put it on my bushmaster and its really tight, i can kinda force it on but not usable. no big deal cause it fits on the buffer that came with the kit. My question is the commercial and milspec buffer that close to the same size or whats the deal?
