Aero Precision stripped AR-15 lower

Postby PHATSPEED7x on Sat Mar 01, 2014 4:05 pm

Since I've gotten into the AR-15 platform again I decided to build my own lower from parts. Ordered a PSA complete lower parts kit with an ERGO grip. Then I had to find me a stripped lower to install this parts kit into. I found that Aero Precision was making limited edition "I'm your huckleberry" lowers. Got one on order, and hopefully will see it in a few weeks.

Nice. You'll have to let me know how that Blem works out.

Picked up both my Aero Precision lower, and my Anderson Mfg lower from my FFL dealer yesterday. I'm extremely pleased with the finish of the Aero Precision lower. Compared to the Anderson lower it's top shelf stuff. Not to say the Anderson Mfg lower is junk. It's also well made. 7075 T6 alum construction on both.

I'm your Huckleberry... I like it!

They still have some in stock. Get one while you still can.

The aero lowers I ordered took me a while to figure out the difference between the blem and regular.

The finish looks a little thin in the mag well it's all I could find.

Did you get your aero lower together yet? I put mine together and I have tried 3 different uppers and the take down pin doesn't like to push in all the way and has to get pounded out.

I actually haven't put mine together yet. I used my parts kit from PSA to build my Anderson lower. Who's build kit did you install in your lower?

Is there anybody around that does custom engraving or laser on guns? I would assume that would fall under gunsmithing so there's no transfer.

Got my aero ghost gun lower and lpk the other day and once again second pin to get pushed in will only go half way in before it gets stuck in a dpms and psa, bushmaster upper. Pins go in smooth on the bcm though.

So you might have to get picky on your uppers as I'm learning.
