Cool builds guys!

I've wanted to do a service rifle clone of my A2 for a while as well, but it's not a high priority with funds.

Just finished putting this together. Started out as a M16A1 parts kit, 80% lower, and a 1:9 barrel. Can't wait to take it out and shoot it.


Update: I've now put 100 rounds thru it, works like a charm.

Very cool! I'm in the process of building a couple retro rifles myself. This one will be a clone of the M16 I carried in the mid 80's when I was in the Air Force. The lower in the first pic is just a place holder and the 3-prong flash hider will go on a different build. I have the correct A1 birdcage FH for this one. The stripped lower is an A2 80% lower I had re-profiled to an A1 partial fence lower and then engraved to mimic the markings on my old M16. Still have a lot of work to do.

Sweet looking build. The engraving on the lower is awesome.

I still have the original A1 upper that came with my parts kit. The finish is pretty beat up and I heard the A1 without the shell deflector wasn't too friendly to us lefties so I went with an aftermarket one. Everything inside is still the original Colt stuff though.

It's an 11.5" from BCM. Same setup as my previous post, but I replaced the BCM upper with a Vltor MUR. I also replaced the STD with a Troy Claymore (don't worry, the STD is going onto another gun).

You could always build another one.

There's a lot of devices out there and a lot of different desires for how people want their guns. I just make one option. I don't feel bad when people don't use my products; I just ask to be moved off the lane next to them.
