Stopped in and said hi to the guys at the APF Shop today. Nice guys, more than willing to help put together the gun your looking for....now I need to clear out the safe a bit. ;)

I've been trying to decide what to buy next, and I don't have an APF rifle yet, so you're all in big trouble with my wife.

You really can't go wrong buying from APF. Now there are some that will think I'm just sticking up for my buddy. Let me be absolutely clear in the fact that I would never endorse a product based on a friendship. Those that know me know this. I'm a competitive shooter shooter that will always give 100‰ honest opinion on new product.

I just picked up an APF 3 Gun Rifle. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but plan on taking it tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I am curious to hear your report. I am thinking pretty seriously about going with them for my first AR.

I took it out tonight and did a little shooting.I was really impressed. I also had a chance to shoot a few other brands entry level models. I realize that this one is almost twice the price of the other rifles that I was able to compare it to, but I have to say it was money well spent. I can't vouch for the other APF models, but with this one you get a lot of gun for your money. I think it was a fantastic buy. Once their name gets out there, I wouldn't be surprised if the prices go up.

When you break it down, it is a lot of gun for the money. Beyond the fact that you get quality made in your own backyard parts.
There's;
NIB coated BCG
Match grade barrel that is regarded by competitive shooters as one of the best you can buy
CMC Trigger
Magpul UBR stock
Really nice free float handguard
An effective comp

Unless you've got some connections, the average Joe couldn't build this rifle for what they are selling it for.
