Entry Level Semi-Auto Shotgun?

I always though of my benelli m1 as an entry level shotgun haha

Benelli does not make entry level.

What? they do make cheap shotguns.....

Not semi-automatics, which is what the OP is/was looking for. The cheapest SA Benelli makes is the Montefeltro, and MSRP on that is over $1100.

I use the Miculek 930 for 3 gun. Mine is a little fussy on ammo, a friends isn't. The cheap Walmart Federal gives me failures to fire, looking like a light primer strike. I replaced the hammer spring with a spring off the 10/22 and it didn't eliminate the problem. When I tried the cheap Winchester super x, white box stuff, the extractor would rip off a piece of the rim and leave the hull in the chamber, grrr.

The last two years I've run Winchester AA with no problems at all. Winchester has been running a $2 a box rebate during the summer, so I stock up and it doesn't end up costing much more.

The 930 also need to be cleaned regularly. Not a big deal.

I guess patience is a virtue. I just ordered a new 930 from Grabagun for $351.79 + $7.99 shipping.

It's amazimg how much the prices vary depending on where you look.

Grabagun has the V3 right now for $499, which is an amazing price compared to everywhere else I have seen.

I got a Winchester SX3 from them that has been amazing for under $600 by watching and waiting.

Best advice in this thread was the Stoeger. Best "entry" level shot gun. Much better than remington, mossberg, etc.

I figured 3500 just to cover everything. Unless there was something pushing me to the 3”

Not a bad way of thinking. Though I find myself not ever needing 3.5s so I find myself wondering why I spent a little more sometimes for that option.

Did anyone mention the FN SLP listed here for$800? I have one and it's pretty sweet shooting auto loader. Pretty reliable so far and low recoil even with buckshot.

OP was looking for $500 or less. But yes that is a nice gun at a decent price.
