Removing ejector

Postby Bearcatrp on Fri Oct 25, 2024 6:34 am

Have a ejector being a PITA trying to remove from my savage bolt gun. Have replaced before without issues but this time the pin is like welded in there. Gone through 2 center punches and the dam pin won't budge. Suggestions on how to get this pin out. On a savage 10FCP-SR 308. Thanks.

What, no one here has replace a ejector in a bolt action rifle?

Zero experience with Savage.

Been over at savageshooter. Have changed a few already but the new head i bought for a backup has a pin that seems welded in. Already broke to center punches. Place I bought replacement extractors offered to get it out for me so may just go that route.

Buy a Winchester M70 or a Mauser?

I’m not much of a Savage guy. I have a 110 and a rimfire savage for rifles, but they just are not in the same ballpark design wise.
