I do prefer the impulse of a 45acp, as 9mm feels like a .22

Is that a 4 inch barrel?

Recently sent my 9mm S&W folder down the road. To many disappointments with it. Replaced with the Ruger LC 45 carbine. Sort of a chunky girl at 7 pounds. Shot it in a match last Saturday, brain farts push my numbers up and placement down. First time using a vertical for grip in competition. So far it has checked off my needs that were insurmountable with the S&W.

Nice. Takes a bit to get used to these carbines. Do you have a pistol in 45 to go along with your carbine? I have a RIA 1911 in 10mm that shares ammo with my carbine. Good combination.

Not sure how I missed this thread before. PCC's have been a part of my collection for many years. Think it goes back to growing up with Roy Rogers, Hoppy, and The Duke.
The concept of ammo compatibility between pistol and long gun is nothing new. It makes logistics simpler, and the longer barrel gives better ballistics.

My current PCC's are lever actions in 45 Colt and 357 Mag paired with Ruger Blackhawks. I've worked up handloads to cover everything from rabbit to bear. Really like the 45 Colt for coyote. Have to call them in to 50-75 yards but have never had one get back up after being hit as long as I do my job.

I had Ruger's original PC9 which my wife loved as her "House Gun." Can't say I was ever really impressed with it, way too heavy for its intended role. Much prefer a lighter carbine to make it easier to handle. I let it go when we started to see the first signs of my wife's dementia.

I have 2 1911s and a P45 Kahr. The mags for the LC are Glock 21 mags SMG brand. I’m in the process of talking/ talking myself out of a Gen 5 Glock 21. Right now I have a Keltec 2000 gen 3 in 9mm. I’m betting in the SHTF 9mm would be more likely of a pickup. I don’t get hung up on mag crossover as I do on caliber. All though where I live 40SW may be some what more prevalent.
