I got mine over a month ago. I put a pair of Tech Sights on it, and I have been saving a considerable amount of money shooting the Ruger rather than the AR.

Ok, range report on my 10/22 I've been complaining about.

I also put a Volquartsen Extractor in mine last week, had it at BPR on saturday. With the same ammo which jammed about 1 out of 10 rounds with the old extractor, I ran 100 rounds with zero failures on the new extractor.

Under a magnifying glass, the two extractors look very much the same, but the Volquartsen has some really sharp edges on it and they say it is .005'' closer in tolerance than the stock one. Well, whatever it is, it works. I may actually trust that rifle in another 500 rounds or so.

As a side note, I recovered 100% of my other brass at BPR, and was encouraged to do so by Sue and the other gentlemen working there. I even brought my own broom, though I didn't really need it on the rifle side.

I do not want to take the glory from Mac, but I shot his upgraded 10/22 yesterday. Totaly capable of one hole, 10 shot groups at 25 yards. :ugeek: Very cool and easy to shoot. Tom

Cool, hopefully Mac will share some of his secrets. Preferably with some photos of a camera being aimed at to prove just how accurate it is. (too soon?)

Hope nobody spilled root beer...

Mine is definitely not a 1 hole rifle, but its good enough on practical targets.

Too soon. Hard feelings abound. You and I are no longer friends. Jerk.

Besides I forgot the camera, or those pics would already be posted.

are you thinking paper for score or steel with time? I think it would be fun to do either. Although I would have to buy an auto to run against the clock... :cogitating:

Mine might be capable of 1-hole 10 shot groups if I'm not behind the trigger! If I want a 1-hole group I usually opt for putting in the 50-rounder!!! too bad that isn't as cheap to do anymore - it sure was fun! (was also great fun to use to scare squirrels when you didn't really feel like eating them - shoot just behind them and you can chase them across the ground and then all the way up a tree with a 30 or 50 round mag!)

At almost evry steel shoot this there will be an IR50 shoot and you can bring your 10/22s and participate.
