Yeah that guy is an idiot. I've tried to watch a couple of his videos and read a few things he's written and it became clear very early on that he is a moron.

LOL at the AR vs AK argument. The people that will survive the zombie apocalypse will do so regardless of what their favorite gun is.

Ford vs Chevy. Most people are going to have a favorite and very few people will be able to utter a decent word about the one that isn't their favorite.

Not quite.

Try to shoot the 600 prone with an AK and irons and get back to me.

Shoot the 600 prone with a factory stock <$650 AR, irons, and Tula ammo and get back to me...

Gotta be apples-to-apples comparison, otherwise you're talking about different philosophy of use (there I go dropping a quote from that complete ass-hat Nutinfancy).

Are we comparing a $100 AK to a $500 AR?

My issued A2 in boot camp was shot to hell and over-cleaned. The issue ammo wasn't match grade.

Still shot expert.

Try it with an AK and get back to me was all I said. I didn't make the switch to the AK. I didn't write the article saying they were better than the AR.

But, hey, do what ya can with what ya got. My ability to still pass the USMC PFT at 46 years old is exponentially more likely to be a factor in my life expectancy, SHTF or in the mini-van, than what weapon I have.

I'll shoot a budget Palmetto AR at 600 against someone shooting a low-end AK all day any day that ends in Y.

Big deal. I can make hits "in the black" on a Highpower target at 500 & 600 yards with your grandpa's .30-30 too, but that doesn't make it a precision rifle. Since they never show or discuss the targets, I wouldn't be surprised if they just left the NRA LR target up all day for all distances. Lame.

I've shot 1000 meters with an rack M16 and irons. Does that count?

Wow, the interweb never ceases to amaze. We can still argue AR vs AK till the cows come home. What's next? 1911 vs glock? 9mms vs 45?

I will pay you $200 for every $100 functioning AK you can get your hands on. No limit.

But in 2017 dollars, no, I edited my post to say <$700 AR to be consistent with $600-$700 AK prices. (Can't compare a $700 AK to a $3,500 custom match-grade AR).
