Martini anyone ???

Postby Magnum Wheel Man on Tue Nov 20, 2007 7:57 am

I just got started collecting these awesome antiques... anyone else with a Martini addiction ???

My Martini Safari... a tight tropical action fitted with a light weight hex 458 win mag barrel rechambered to 45-70 & custom fitted barrel band & 3 leaf safai sights...

my other Martini is a bit "looser" & had some corrosion before the custom work, but it was deemed safe for the 50-70 barrel that was mated to it...it's the bottom gun in this pic...

I'm currently wanting to do a 17 Ackley or similar cartridge on a Cadet action & am looking for some "project grade" actions... I'd like to have a light, flat shooting cartridge to add a scope similar to this to one of the Cadets...

I had a cadet that had been rechambered to 32/20 and it shot very well, a moment of weakness allowed a friend to buy it off me, I wish I had kept it, I have a BSA rimfire action down stairs and I should put that together sometime, but other things keep pressing.

SOG (Southern Ohio Gun) has Martini's for sale. I've heard not so good things...
