Added some goodies to my AR!

Postby RDWheeler on Sun Sep 19, 2010 10:27 am

First real AR thats not a .22! I bought this on here about 4 days ago, and through a few things on it! Any suggestions on whats next?? And also does anyone know the hunting restrictions with an AR. I know I have to be North of 95, but not sure yet on what the max # of rounds you can have...

Did you throw those things through it or on it? Or did you have then thrown on?

Someone should make a random AR15 generator.

Tacticool Foregrip,Green Laser cuz red is so 90's, Double M130's one mounted on each side of foregrip for the flood light effect. The scalps of your kills, hanging off aforementioned Foregrip, Bayonet custom painted saying "Kill em all Let God sort em out" that should do it. :welcome:

You shouldn't need more than a 5 round mag (if you do, please inform us where you're hunting so we can avoid it) but there's no law against 30 or 100's - after all, you're the dumbass who gets to hump the weight around with you all day.

The coolest tacticool item you can get is a night vision scope and those are a big no-go for big game.

I kinda wonder if they're legal for coon's? It's not all that different than a spot light in function. Of course shooting a .223 into a tree is a dumb idea, but that doesn't stop a lot of folks.

Under the heading "Night Vision Equipment" at the top of page 27 of this year's hunting booklet it states that the use or even possession of any night vision equipment to take wild animals is not allowed. This would be much like the old rule regarding the use of lights were their use was very discouraged. I knew a guy that used a NV scope that used ambient light for coyotes and it was pretty effective. That was a different state were pretty much anything was legal where coyotes were concerned.

One could draw the distinction between hunting and varmint/destruction control if you were on private property - but I don't have the need to buy a NV scope anyway so it's not an issue.

But thermal or FLIR would be okay?
