I see you have burned thru the Adult ADHD drugs pretty fast. Just on Sunday you were assuring us that wedding plans were the only expeditures you had planned for quite some time.

$70 is hardly an expenditure. Hell, $70 isn't even a night on the town. Besides, if I buy one, and tell her I bought it for her, she will be ok with it.

The rest of us will know who I really bought it for though. ;)

Don't tell TP.

Bottom line is that I like to tinker with guns. Open them up and see what makes them tick. Mess with them a bit to see if I can make them better in one way or another. I got lucky with the S&W 625 that everything went as planned with all the major surgery done to it........ But I want to tinker with something that won't make me go into a flop sweat every time I take a stone to it, and is simple enough that even I couldn't **** it up too badly.

Enter the POS Russian surplus rifle.

Id bet that with a little work, some of those rifles could end up being pretty decent little shooters. And besides, I have a family to arm now.

Um hello.... do you really think you need to explain and justify a firearm purchase to US!!! If she's anything like my wife, you know she spends more than that at every trip to Target she makes. And she doesn't go in there with anything in mind!

Maybe to the misses.... but not us. By the way, where'd you find them for 70 bucks, I may need to get another one, or two, at that price. Cheapest I've found them is 85.00

Let's just get this straight..... I don't care (that much) that you purchase any new guns. I do care when you dismantle them on the coffee table at 10:30 at night and stink the house up with cleaning solvents. Also....whatever stone you are using on the trigger sounds like nails on a chalk board.

Gunslick products don't stink nearly as bad as most solvents. And a little oil goes a long way to quite down stone work. SWMBO problem solved.
