It very well could be a 742f premier grade made from 1961-1980 worth around $3,000. If it has a receiver inlaid with gold add 50%. same as model 742 except extensively engraved with game scenes and scroll, finest grade wood.Hope this helps??

It's not worth $3000. It appears to be a 1960 Engraved Woodmaster:

OT: I have 2 mags that are after market. They're 10 round 30-06 mags but not marked for model or manufacturer. Consensus is they fit a Rem 30-06. Anyone one of the 74x or 76x or 74xx or 76xx Remingtons that would be willing to tell me if they look familiar?

The 740's and 742's did have issues with bolt peening, and repair parts are pretty much unobtainium. It should hold up to years of deer hunting, but I wouldn't run any heavier than usual loads through it, or do any high volume shooting.
