Benelli R1 .300 Win Mag

Postby Cadet on Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:50 am

Just ordered one of Benelli's auto loading rifles in .300 win mag. Has anyone had any experience with these rifles?

No, but would be very interested in your review, been thinking of one for awhile. May I ask what you found one for in real world pricing?

very cool! i wonder how well it will feed the big cases of a 300 Winny... but if Benelli is selling it, it'll probably work better than expected

Let me know how it shoots for you if you would. Seriously considering one in .338 Win though right now they only offer that chamebering in their base model (blued with black syn stock) if they came out with it in stainless I would be all over it. Ideal Alaska rifle in my opinion.

Picked up the rifle this weekend on our way to chamberlain SD for pheasant hunting, I put a Minox ZA 5 2-10x40 scope on Ive had a few chances to shoot it off hand but not at an actual range yet. Its absolutely amazing how little felt recoil there is... so far I couldn't be happier. Ill give add a range report soon.

I'm sure you will love it. I have never shot their rifles, but no complaints on the shotguns.. I like the way them things look, more modern.
