New Rifle Excitement

Postby Duane J on Fri Oct 19, 2012 9:30 pm

Greetings everyone.

I just thought I'd share in the delight of my new rifle. Fresh custom build, finished today.

First, my thanks to VMan and the others that directed me to Atomic Tactical in Bloomington. This community has always been great, clearly this hasn't changed. Great advise from great folks. I am in your debt. Thank you!!

On to the rifle. It's a custom AR15 spec'd as follows:
Del-Ton lower
Bushmaster lower parts kit
MagPul CTR stock
DPMS upper receiver
Wilson HBAR 5.56 16" barrel, chrome lined, 1:9
Troy VTAC free float hand guard
ARMS flip up BUIS

It looks great and feels well balanced. Can't wait to shoot this one!! Thanks again for the advise guys.

On the topic of Atomic Tactical, I would very highly recommend them. Their prices are great!! Knowledge is abundant and they are so very helpful. Killer establishment to have worked with.

It was good to meet you and I am glad you decided give Atomic Tactical a try. The only problem I see with this AR is that its not mine

That sounds like a lame excuse! ;) (but I'll try to be sympathetic... since you DID at least include pics!)

Nice. I just finished putting one together myself. Most of the stuff came from those guys.

What length is that handguard? I am really digging it.

11" Troy Handguard.

I stopped by Atomic on Friday and there were 6 guys in the store. I only had a few minutes to pick up some stuff as I had to pick up my son at daycare. I had to run before I could get what I needed. I am glad they are busy, I will have to plan on getting there earlier next time. There is even a new guy working there. The place has blown up in the past couple of weeks! I hope they are making some money it is nice to have a supplier locally!
