My contribution to the 2013 'Panic Buy'

Postby wrench on Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:26 am

Picked this baby up a couple of weeks ago, as my small contribution to the 2013 'Panic Buy', and also because just the sight of it will give the anti's heartburn.
Those are 36rd stick mags, just wait till I get the drums out!

Well, it doesn't have an evil pistol grip, so it's not a cold-blooded killing machine. However, the high capacity "magazine clips" are evil in and of themselves, so that's a strike against you. According to the New York laws at least, you are now the owner of a "high powered assault weapon." There is no reason to have such a terror rifle for your limited hunting needs (and they should be limited, since only knuckledragging, lowbrow savages actually hunt innocent animals), you have to right to have such an evil, high powered weapon. Don't you know that a 9x19mm round out of a 16" barrel has enough power to take down an elephant? Please, think of the children.

I've seen the kits for those things around and been kinda curious. Please share impressions upon returning from the range!

I picked up my Kimber .270 today as my contribution to the Panic Buy. I'll post some pics later.

Got it from Centerfire Systems, just before they sold out of them. I took it to the range once last week, just to put a quick 30r through it to see if it worked. It ran fine with no jams with the stick mags, haven't tried the drums yet. Too darn cold. The trigger is heavy, I'll see if I can clean that up a bit.
Only shot a 25y, offhand, shivering, made a nice little fist sized group.
Will be a fun toy if they don't take it away from me...
