JP Rifles. Who's got one?

Postby lizard55033 on Thu Apr 09, 2015 6:38 pm

I'm looking at adding an AR to my collection.

looking hard at JP Rifles whether it be buying one out right; or even building one.

Thoughts on them? I see a lot of good reviews...

I have a basic JP-15 that started as an upper. Very accurate. Excellent fit and finish. Comes with a nicely fitted comp, adjustable gas block, heat sink, etc. I think it's a good value even at today's prices. I regret not getting the trigger right away (this was when the JP trigger was one of the only aftermarket AR triggers!). It also came with a nice manual covering barrel break-in and even suggested loads. This was helpful to a newb since the internet was still in its infancy.

JP has been the gold standard for AR's for a long time for good reason. You can't really go wrong with a JP.

I've got an LRP-07 that I'm very happy with.

We stock JPs at Arnzen and have had nothing but rave reviews. They're some of the most accurate ARs out there - with the right ammo, people will often get sub 3/4 MOA with their 308's and 1/2 MOA with their .223/.260/6.5 rifles. They're very popular with 3-gun competitors for their accuracy and reliability.

We're out of stock at the moment, but here's some of the JPs that we've had: https://secure.arnzenarms.com/catalog-s ... urer/25793
If you'd like to check some out in person, we should have some back in stock by the end of April or beginning of May.

There's a short list of guns that have been through the shop that I want to buy for myself, and a JP SCR-11 is definitely on it!

Cost as much as gold too. Looked at them when I was looking but out of my price range at the time. Seem to be nice rifles.

I'd buy a .338 lapua first

338? MEH.... I'm getting a JP PSC-11 being built for 3 gun and an LRP-07 in 6.5 Creedmoor for a precision rifle.
