M16A2 Clone

Postby kollector03 on Sat Mar 12, 2016 8:55 am

Just playing with some lighting on the photo table and though I would share a pic of my M16A2 Clone. Nice to have one like I trained with in Basic in the stable.

Thanks for the made by Mattel flashback. I'll never forget the first shot and that spring TWANG in the stock.

Who has used one with the cocking lever contained within the carry handle?

M16A2 Clone

I don't believe that there were very many of those made. They were basically prototypes by Armalite prior to Colt acquiring the manufacturing rights, and released the AR15 model 01 in 1959.

Looks good! The full size rifle length AR's are under-appreciated, nice to see they are getting some attention!

Had this rifle to the range on Fathers Day and wow what a nice shooter. Brought back fond memories of qualifying with the M16A3 back in the day, but this one has a FAR better trigger than the burst lower M16 I had to qualify with.

Me. Bought it NIB in 1975, but it's a 1974 manufacture. Been meaning to sell it, but I have to wait for the election for obvious reasons. It's been a safe queen since 1976.
