Sounds like they're taking chamber reamer lessons from the moron that designed the Keltec RFB (another mile long throated gun that can't group).

When I first learned bout these last year I got all hot and bothered (sort of like Tootsie with sheep.... :o ) and was trying to figure out how I could possibly buy one, but after reading the review it became obvious that the trigger was WORSE THAN A GLOCK, and the gun was about as accurate as the MSM during the election. No thanks..... :bolt:

I like how the Tavor handles, but the price was always too steep for me. If I wanted to shoot 4MOA, I'd whip out the CETME.

Okay. I talked to an expert. The measurement I'm talking about is called "free bore". In .223/5.56, 1/4in. in a semi-auto is not considered excessive freebore and not likely affecting accuracy when compared to other semi-autos of the same caliber. In a bolt action or single shot rifle where the OAL could be customized >2.260, thereby reducing the 1/4in. free bore, then accuracy could be improved.

I'm not sure who you spoke to, but there's a reason we have SAAMI standardized cartridge parameters and chamber dimensions - every gun chambered to proper specs will be able to utilize the same ammo; doesn't matter if it's a bolt action or semi-auto or even a single shot.

.25" free bore is excessive for anything shoulderable (even .50BMG). In .223/5.56, that's over the square of the caliber's cross section.
