SBR it!
Talk about not helping yourself with a jury - half the folks that shoot don't get those yet alone 12 total strangers that get called up. Also would guess your stamp might be in limbo while the whole mess is sorted out.

Does in my car in the parking lot count?

It does not.
What if it is in stripper clips and a bandolier over my shoulder while I pick up eggs and milk?

How many times do I have to explain the Cub Foods rule? If you didn't buy it at Cub Foods From Cub Foods, it does not count.

So when SHTF you would trade your firearm that there is a plethora of parts around for and an abundance of ammo for one that has neither?

Why just restrict yourself to the AK or the AR?
Why compare the 5.56 AR to the 7.62 AKM?
Why not a 7.62 AR?
If you are worried about parts availability I would think that any gunshop would have a stock of Rem 870/1100 parts or Mossberg 500 stuff. 12 gauge would be a bit more available than either 5.56 or 7.62 x 39.
Air Force engineer. What did nutnfancy do in the chair force?

(hint: they believe the bull about the AK pattern rifles being super reliable and awesome)
I'll still take a radio and a bolt though. YMMV
Edit: this was on the way home, right before I had to toss it into the barrel......

I am interested in your thoughts. Seems like you are saying that neither is superior. Can you elaborate on your opinions as someone who has actual field experience with both?
