It’s worth it. Get one and change uppers. A 12” suppressed grendel SBR would be very nice.

A 12 inch pistol will do the same thing, with $200 bucks to spend on other things instead of giving it to a corrupt government hell bent on taking money on something that should not be collecting money on.

Very true, I did the pistol thing first. The SBR is much nicer.

I've never looked too deep into SBRs. Does one register the lower only (with the option of multiple uppers/ different calibers), or is it the complete rifle, with a specific caliber notation?

Lower only but you register it in its primary configuration. You should always be able to revert back to primary configuration unless you formally update the ATF with the new specs.

It can be a 5.56 one day, grendel another and 300BO for the weekend.

Take a look at the 1st post with pic of the short barrel pistol. Look at that stock. One of the newer braces that extends. Still a pistol! Will work the same as a sbr. Just don’t do it in public!

Not as stable as a stock. Look do what you want but a stock it is not.

True about a stock. If the atf would get rid of the engraving crap, along with some of the other crap of requirements of a sbr, would consider going sbr.

I can't tell the difference between a regular stock and the braces on my pistols. Currently use shockwave on 2 of them. The maximum will work even better.

Geez guys, it's crap like this that got the braces banned before.

If you want to do this stuff, don't go on about it in public.

Not happy about it either but the engraving is not that bad and kinda cool to be listed as the manufacturer. The $200? Well you have to pay to play. I've blown more on less.
