Yes but an adjustable gas block is not a bad thing to pair it with.

BB & HH, you guys seem to have gas on your mind. Flatulence problems lately?

TommyMN, there are multiple sizes, but one can use the same size buffer tube on an AR15 as an AR10. Because the BCG is longer for some long-frame ARs, there are shorter buffers to compliment.
I know a guy who shortened the buffer tube on his AR pistol, added a LAW folding adapter, and then used a AR10 buffer and cut down the buffer spring to get it all to work and still come in under 26 inches 8-)

You are correct. I misread that as carbine length gas tube. Good info here^

In my research I don't think I ever saw a distinction between AR15 and AR10 (308) gas tubes. In fact, the Aero gas tube product page says: "Stainless Steel Gas Tube for AR15 & AR10 rifles".

So gas tubes and buffer tubes are the same?

Thanks for the help. I can use my aero carbine tube then. When aero runs their buffer tube kits it’s cheaper to buy the kit than few separate parts. So i have extra carbine tubes

Sorry, I misread it. Oops. I was tired.

For buffers, I don't know exactly. Aero offers different kits for AR15 vs AR308. I'm not expert enough to know whether some are interchangeable though.

I haven't taken it out to shoot yet. From the time I finished it until late this past week it was back to cold and snowy and just wasn't something I wanted to be outside shooting in. Now the nice weather is here and I've had a very busy weekend. But I hope to have it out later this afternoon for it's shakedown cruise.

No, no word on that yet. I guess the 3-5 week estimate was not actually accurate. No big deal though.
