Depends on barrel length. Have a 1x6 on my 12 inch. Working out good too. If your at 16 to 20 inch barrel, some loads can stay supersonic at 1000 yards. A good 3x9 may serve you well to keep weight down. If staying under 300 yards, consider a good 1x8 or 2x10.

For a hunting gun I agree 1-6 or 1-8 would fit well.

Try it. See how it goes. Then decide.

I played with the 1-6 tonight. I really like it. Their some great deals on the 1-6 or primary hs the vortex 4-12-44 on sale with a free mount. Very budget scope but decent reviews.

Almost bought that for my 338LM. Went with a Burris XTR II 4-20 instead.

Sorry, didn’t see your question. At first I thought about getting rid of it. Found out it doesn’t like any Hornady bullets. Was at range today verifying a load with Speer gold dot 120 grain. Shooting good. According to my ballistic app, just a little over 1000 fps with this bullet from my 12 inch Grendel. Am seeing folks post their chrono data. An 18 inch barrel Grendel is just 200 fps more with this bullet. Now to see how it shoots with my suppressor. Just got my 2nd adapter in the mail. Big question will be if I should drop out of 300BO with this shooting so good. But have my 10 inch BO shooting so good with my suppressor. Just limited on distance compared to the Grendel.

Hornady is the only bullets I shoot in mine, sucks they don’t work in yours.

Do you mean 2,000 fps

Suppressed is the only reason for 300BO.

No, meant 1000 fps @1000 yards. Am going to try one more time with Hornady bullets and try a 120 match bullet. My 300BO shoots both subs quiet and supers fairly quiet.
